To type directly with the computer keyboard:
- Use the capital to type letters subscribed with a dot below: T, Th, D, Dh, N, L, S
- Type sh to have ś
- Type aa, ii, uu, ee, oo (or A, I, U, E, O) for the long vowels ā, ī, ū, ē, ō.
- Type -r and - ri for ri andrī
- Type M for ં (anusvara) & MM for ઁ (candra bindu)
- Type H pour ઃ (visarga)
- Type / or | pour । (danda)
- Type ' (apostrophe) for ઽ (avagraha)
