How to use

To type directly with the computer keyboard:

• Type = to add a diacritical mark, for instance a=, b=…

Note:

The dot above a letter denotes lenition; it is called a ponc séimhithe or buailte . In modern spelling, lenition is instead represented by adding the letter h after the consonant.
Example: ḃ (old) = bh (modern)

The agus ⁊ is a Tironian note that corresponds to the ampersand (&) meaning "and".
