Click on the virāma, called halanta in Kashmiri (diacritic in the center) to delete the inherent vowel a.
How to use
To type directly with the computer keyboard:
- Use the capital to type the letters subscribed with a dot below: T, Th, D, Dh, N, S
- Type G for ng & J for ñ
- Type ç or z or sh for ś
- Special characters: Type jñ for ज्ञ; kS for क्ष;
tr for त्र; shr for श्र; LN for ळ्ण
- Type aa, ii, uu (ou A, I, U) for the long vowels ā, ī, ū
- Type -r for ri
- Type M for ं (anusvara) & MM for ँ (candra bindu)
- Type H for ः (visarga)
- Type = for ़ (nukta): dot below
- Type two dots .. for the abbreviation sign ॰
- Type / or | for । (danda) and twice for a double danda
- Type ' (apostrophe) for ऽ (avagraha)
- Type O, OM (capitals) for ॐ
- Type x (unicode 200D, zwj, zero width joiner) to form the "eyelash ra": type rx for र्
examples: ry for र्य and rxy for र्य
- Type + after the digit to get the Devanāgarī character.
