How to use

To type directly with the computer keyboard:

• Use uppercase to type the letters subscribed with a dot below: T, Th, D, Dh, N, R
• Type J for ñ
• Type = for 𑅳 (nukta)
• Type two dots .. for the abbreviation mark 𑅴
• Type - for the section mark 𑅵 (used for indicating sections)
• Use uppercase O to insert the śrī symbol 𑅶 (placed at the beginning of a document to invoke success in business)

The Mahajani script (from mahajan, meaning "merchant") is an ancient writing system used in northern India, primarily for accounting and commercial correspondence.

It is a fast and simplified script, in which vowels are often omitted

The Mahajani script was used for several languages: Marwari (Marwar region, Rajasthan), Rajasthani, Punjabi, and Hindi.

Mahajani does not have specific digits. They are similar to those used in Devanagari (and also in Gujarati).
