Note
The Thai script uses several characters for the same phoneme, reflecting their Sanskrit and Pali origins.
The transliteration is based on the ISO 11940 standard.
How to use
To type directly with the computer keyboard:
- Type = to change the consonant
- Press = to cycle through different characters for the same phoneme:
kh= for ค → ข → ฆ → ฅ → ฃ
s= for ซ → ส → ศ → ษ
ch= for ช → ฉ → ฌ
th= for ท → ถ → ธ → ต → ฑ → ฒ → ฐ
ph= for พ → ผ → ภ
- Use uppercase to type the letters subscribed with a dot below: Y, D, T, N, L, H
- Type G for ng & J or Y or ñ for ỵ
- Type an apostrophe ' for the low tone, '' for the falling tone, ''' for the high tone, '''' for the risen tone
- Type M for the final nasal
- Type ü or û or q for the vowel ụ
- Type aa, uu, ii, qq, for the long vowels and ee for æ
- Type a= for ạ; aa= for å; o= and o== for ị ı
- Type v= for ł
