How to use

To type directly with the computer keyboard:

• Use uppercase: H for ח, T for ט, S for צ
• Type c or ç or w for ש
• Type a for א and type j for ע
• Type a space or a punctuation mark after a consonant to switch to its final form: k, m, n, f, S
• Type == to add the diacritic mark rafe and === for the varika
• Type A for the ligature aleph + lamed ﭏ
• Type = to add the geresh ׳ and == for the gershayim ״
• Type === to add the rafe ◌ֿ and ==== for the varika ◌ﬞ

Note:

The BenOr Rashi font is based on the Rashi script style used for biblical commentaries in Eastern Europe (Ashkenazi tradition).

In this typeface, the Aleph-Lamed ligature appears in a specific form: ﭏ

It's different from the traditional Sephardic style found in the printing houses of Salonica or Istanbul:
