The letter, then the diacritics in this order: the central point (dagesh), the vowel (niqud), the cantillation mark (taʿam)
How to use
To type directly with the computer keyboard:
- Use uppercase: H for ח, T for ט, S for צ
- Type j for ע (ayin)
- Type c or w for ש
- Type c= (or w=) for שׁ and c== (or w==) for שׂ
- Type a space or a punctuation mark after a consonant to switch to its final form: k, m, n, f, S
- Type = to add the daguesh; example: b= for בּ
- Type a vowel e, i, o, u after a consonant to add a diacritical mark. Type it several times to cycle through marks or remove them (example: e, ee, eee)
Special case for a (reserved for א): type _ (underscore) or A after a consonant.
- Type x to add the meteg
- Type hataf (ĕ, ă, ŏ) + meteg, for a medially positioned; example: tăx תֲֽ (ă halaf patah: AAA)
- Type hataf (ĕ, ă, ŏ) + L + meteg, for a left-positioned; example: tăLx תֲֽ
- Type meteg + R + hataf (ĕ, ă, ŏ), for a right-positioned; example: txRă תֽ͏ֲ
- Type diacritic + R + diacritic, to reverse the order of the diacritics (to place them Right to left).
- to obtain the furtive patah, example: vHá וּחַ
- Type the hyphen - to obtain ־ (maqaf)
- Type + to obtain ׳ (geresh) and ++ for ״ (gershayim)
- Type | to obtain ׀ (paseq: separator) et deux-points : for ׃ (sof pasuq: verse end)
