How to use

To type directly with the computer keyboard:

• Type a=, i=, u= (or â, î, û) for ā, ī, ū
• Type = to add a diacritical mark: h=  d=  t=  for   ẖ   ḏ   ṯ
• Type == to add a dot: h==   d==   t==   for   ḥ   ṣ   ḍ
• Type = to add a dot: z=   s=   g=   for   ṭ   ẓ   ġ
• Type d=== for ḏ̣
• Type < and > for ʿ and ʾ
• Type <= for ɛ
• Type s==  g==  (or ^s  ^g) for š   ǧ

Notes

The characters ṯ ẖ ḏ š ġ are also transliterated th, kh, dh, sh, gh

The characters ǧ ẖ are also transliterated j, x
